Bit off more than one can chew

Well, I had never really heard that saying much. Usually the one I got was "Your eyes are bigger than your stomach" after I would not eat about half my food. But this summer, I think "You bit off more than you can chew" applies to the way things are going. I am taking two online courses, Romans and Applications of Technology, they are eight week classes and I am over half way through them. I am also taking Chem II at the local community college here, a six week course that I finished my second week of today. On top of these three 'wonderful' classes I am working Fridays 9-5 and Weekends 10-5. The next joy in my life...I get to work the Fourth of July holiday. Oh fun! Yeah, such a fun summer. Well, it looks like it will all be over in four weeks. That's one month, how hard can it be to last one month. Well, with writing an exegsis paper and a book report plus usual homework for all the classes...I do not know how I am going to survive. One thing, I am not sleeping as much this summer as I was last summer. My sister who I am rooming with laughs at me a lot, she is not taking any summer classes and gloats about it often. Jon is in the same boat as me, taking Management, Romans, and American history while working. The good side about this is that I am under the same amount of stress here as when I am at school so I can go to my Dr. here and get help. After getting back she sent me to a migranes specialist and to a counselor who could refer me to someone else to get my ADHD under control. So, all in all...I am alive and kicking. Hoping to last through the rest of this month. Also, I have not seen one of my friends this whole time, I love my family and I am spending tones of time with them, but I have not been able to get together with my other CA friends. So sad... *sigh* Have a great summer...

Head & Shoulders...Stories of Andrew

I just had a very unusual conversation with my little brother Andrew. Have you ever had to explain to a child which part of your body the head & shoulders shampoo cleans? Well, I just did. When Andrew showers, we put him in the front bathroom with the door slightly ajar and any big kid walking by usually goes in and checks on him. Well, this time I decided to go in and check on him. I asked him if someone had already given him shampoo, soap for his hair, or if he needed some. He said he had but he needed the soap for his shoulders. I said, its for your whole body, not just your shoulders, and reached for some hand soap (the closest we had to body soap). He said, he wanted to use Head & Shoulders on his shoulders since that is what it is for. So, after convincing the little chap that it was not for his shoulder but his hair and he did not need that, I gave him the hand soap for his "shoulders." He takes the soap in his hands and rubs it in his hair. Frustrated I tell him not to put it in his hair because it will ruin it. He looked hopeful for a second and asked what kind of hair he got instead of his. I told him he would keep his hair but it would be different...and yeah, I made something up. I then gave him soap to scrub up with and then told him I would let him use Head & Shoulder if he would not scream if it got in his eyes. On his promise, I put it in his hair and scrubbed it, rinsed him off and pulled him out. He dried himself and got ready for bed.
Later...
Dad takes off to La Honda, meaning movies, ice cream, and tons of fun. So, he leaves and the first thing my MoM wants to do is watch StarGate, so with Dad out of the way (aka gone) she put on StarGate. I get up from my laptop, strategically placed so I can watch StarGate while doing this, and other things. I get up to go to the bathroom and run smack dab into Andrew, who had sneaked out of his room and would stand in the hall watching the computer. And I thought I had BUSTED him, oh yeah, I sounded the alarm... (We as kids got spanked every time we were caught watching without permission) and my mom put him in his room and closed the door, that is it...a closed door... No, I am not mad that if I had been born tenth instead of second I could have gotten out of a lot of punishments, but then, I might have turned out to be a brat instead of a wonderful, caring, loving girl...or not.

Hurm...who wants to know?

Well, It is always difficult for me to tell people what is going on here. Which one of the many things that has happened do you want to know about? Do you want to hear about my work, and how I had to work seven days in a row? Do you want to hear about the accident and the wind storm? Do you want to hear about the fight I was in? Do you want to hear how it is raining tonight in California...in the summer? Do you want to know about the power outage from 4 pm to the next morning on the night Jon's and my homework assignments were due online? Do you want to hear about my new painting and how it is turning out? Do you want to hear about the candy jar that refuses to stay full? What about the chickens, do you want to know about rounding up the chickens? Do you want to know what happened when I was out in the sales area showing some bamboo and a chicken ran and sat on my foot, waiting to be picked up? How about the last book I read, do you want to know which one that was? Or the book I am reading to the four small children that will be taken away if Dad ever finds out what it is about? Do you really want to know how much I hate my Romans class? Or how Applications of Technology is a busy work, easy class, but time consuming? Do you want to know Rogers new discovery? Did you want to know about our ducks and the sadness that the power outage came when they were so small that one decided life was too much work? Do you want to know the only flavor Gatorade my mother had in the house? Or that I do not like Lemon-Lime as much as Tropical Fruit? Do you want to hear about how my MoM let Julie completely take over the netflix subscription for the summer, and she wastes it on Anime? Do you want to know what happened to my computer and why it is in four different locations at the same time? Or why Jon stole my monitor and left the computer in an enclosed storage area (with a door that everyone leaves open) and threw my printer in the bottom of the cleaning closet, and left my keyboard in a box of books? Or how I hooked up my mouse to my laptop to see if it would improve my gaming skills? Or how I came to the realization that nothing would ever improve my gaming skills because there are no skills there to improve? Would anyone care to hear that I am tired? Would you be interested to know that I miss my friends greatly? Would you care to know my Dad's fathers day present and how it was opened early and all the kids stole some of it? Would it matter that it was oil paints and he does not know that my MoM bought three other boxes full and hid them until Father's day? Who would want to know that my father does not read my blog and therefore, it does not matter what I say pertaining to him? Do you want to hear about the ABC books I am helping my siblings make? Or about what food is available here? Or when Jared is coming to visit me and 57 days seems like a long time? And should I go to bed and answer these later?

And why am I at LeTourneau?

Gen. Albert Burkhalter died...

'Hogan's Heroes' Actor Leon Askin Dies
The dude was like 97 years old. Its funny that I had just brought Jared's copy of the movie home and my parents started laughing at the memory of 'Hogan's Heroes'. It was cool that there is something that my parents and I know that none of my siblings know anything about. The main thing they remembered was "I know nothing...nothing!!!"

Weekend after returning home...

Well, arriving in California was alright. First thing that happened was I got really cold...evenings in San Jose...yeah, I wish I had carried on my jacket. I get to my house and in bed by 1:00am California time...ugh 3:00 am Texas time. I find out that I work the next day...Luckily my manager decided my first day should start at 12. I work, not knowing exactly what I am doing...being glad my manager works Monday through Friday...so she was not there because it was a Saturday. I am dead tired...the next day, I am scheduled to work at 10 am. I am on the couch...Saturday I was woken up at 6:30 am and went back to bed an hour later, woken up again at 9 ish for breakfast...I then cleaned the house until work. Sunday, bright and early (before 7:30) my dad comes and wakes me up...and starts blaring music to get us kids out of bed. I have a headache and I did something that I have never done before. I knew I worked at ten...but I did not care...I cared so little, that I just stayed in bed and did not move until noon. I went out, announced my presence, told them I would cover them for lunch, and then I was returning to my house! They each took their lunch and I returned where I got online...tired and with a splitting headache. I tried talking to Jared a bit, made him leave WoW (world of warcraft --aka 'a game from hell which usually makes girlfriends and wives hate their significant other') which he did with --resisting as much as possible...but I finally got him. That is all I remember from that, that Jared did not want to talk to me right off...ah, blessed memories.
