Well, I made it back to Texas...barely. A run down since I last posted if I wanted to make it short and sweet would be rain, rain, snow, mud, rain, heat and desert, snow, rain, sickness and more rain. We left the second like planned and went camping in red rock bluff (or something with red rocks) and dad said we would spend a whole day there. Wow, this was going to be a relaxing trip...or so i thought. Dad and most of the kids take off on a hike leaving most of us women and girls behind in the camper (mostly because we were still in our PJs) We played games until they returned right before lunch time. They come flying in the camper. WE ARE LEAVING. what?! we ask...yes, it seems that they saw the whole park in those few hours and so there was no reason to remain here. We left and us girls got to make food on the go. And that was how most of the trip went. We flew in and out of places...seeing a lot but not experiencing anything. In Death Valley I skipped out on the few mile bike ride and hike to the top of the hill, and I rested and went with my MoM and some siblings into shops and had some fun. This is when Jon got sick with what the guys in LaHonda had when he went up to help them. (did not see this one coming) He returned from the bike ride and pretty much went to bed and got up two days later. Next stop Las Vegas. Yes, this is a depressing stop for me. The penny machines look like such fun...but you have to be 21...and i was 10 days short of being 21...10 measly days! Jon who was getting better went with me to CES International (Consumer Electronic Show) This was our sole purpose for coming to Vegas...we have done CES for the last 16 years or so. Well, by the end of our two days, three nights in Vegas...most of the camper had come down with the Jon sickness. David and Scott gave it to Jon. Jon started it in our house, then fell Julie, Robert, then the next day (last day in Vegas) fell Rachel (ME), Daniel, Rebecca, Roger, then the next day when we were heading from LV to LA to SJ the last of 'em fell downing Dad, MoM, Anna Raquel, Andrew
I flew back, Sick enough to want to throw myself in front of a truck but instead endured getting up at six in Las Vegas, then a six hour drive to LA and after hanging with my sister a few hours we then had a seven hour drive to SJ (drove from 6pm to 1 am) where I was able to rest for five hours (1 am to 6 am) before getting up to pack for an hour and get on a plane (8:15am) after waiting an hour or so in the air port, to fly to LA on an hour flight and wait in that air port 3 hours to then get on another flight (1:15pm) that was three hours or so to then get in a van (about 5pm CA time) and drive to Josh's grandparents house which took an hour, to the get in Jon's Van and drive two more hours to get back to school (about 10:30pm TX time, 8:30pm CA time).
That was my "break" and I am still sick, so I am going back to bed.
Birthday countdown...6 days.
